Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Position in Levenshulme

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic Humanities Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme. This full-time role starts in January and runs until the end of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent position based on performance. The pay for this role is £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience.

Role Overview:

This is an exciting opportunity for a humanities graduate to gain practical experience in an educational environment. You will work closely with teachers and students to support learning in humanities subjects, helping to inspire a passion for history, geography, or related disciplines. This role is ideal for individuals considering a career in teaching or education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Academic Support: Provide targeted one-to-one and small-group assistance to students in humanities subjects, helping them to engage with and excel in their studies.
  • Lesson Preparation: Assist teachers with preparing and delivering engaging lessons and resources that align with the school’s curriculum.
  • Classroom Assistance: Work collaboratively with teachers during lessons to ensure all students have the opportunity to succeed.
  • Encouraging Engagement: Motivate students to explore humanities topics, fostering curiosity and critical thinking skills.
  • Pastoral Support: Identify and support students who may need additional help to overcome barriers to learning, promoting their academic and personal development.
  • Student Progress Monitoring: Track and report on the progress of students you work with, helping to tailor interventions as needed.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Support the delivery of school trips, workshops, and events related to humanities subjects.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
