Graduate Teaching Assistant – Full-Time Opportunity in Levenshulme

Teaching Personnel is seeking an enthusiastic Graduate Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted-rated "Good" secondary school in Levenshulme. This full-time position begins in January and continues until the end of the academic year, with the potential to become a permanent role based on performance. The pay for this role is £419.25 - £500 per week, depending on experience.

Role Overview:

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students’ academic and personal development while gaining invaluable experience in an educational setting. This position is particularly well-suited for recent graduates considering a career in teaching or education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Support: Work alongside teachers to provide general classroom assistance and ensure a positive learning environment for all students.
  • Student Mentoring: Offer one-to-one and small-group support to students who may require additional help with their studies, improving their confidence and progress.
  • Lesson Preparation: Assist with planning and preparing materials for lessons, enabling effective teaching delivery.
  • Academic Guidance: Support students in developing effective study habits and improving subject-specific skills across a range of subjects.
  • Behaviour Management: Help maintain a calm and focused classroom atmosphere, addressing any minor issues to ensure productive learning.
  • Monitoring Progress: Track student progress and provide feedback to teachers to tailor interventions and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Extra-Curricular Engagement: Participate in or help deliver extra-curricular activities that contribute to students' holistic development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
