Teacher of History – Exciting Opportunity in a Christchurch Secondary School

Location: Christchurch, Dorset
Pay: £150 - £250 per day
Start Date: As soon as possible

Teaching Personnel Dorset is seeking a passionate and dedicated History Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Christchurch. This school is committed to providing a supportive and stimulating environment where both students and staff can thrive. The dedicated team of educators works collaboratively to ensure every student reaches their full potential, both academically and personally.

The school offers an excellent working environment, easily accessible from Bournemouth, Poole, Wimborne, and surrounding areas. On-site parking is available, and the school is well-served by public transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging History lessons that inspire and motivate students.

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

  • Regularly assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the History curriculum.

  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.

Qualifications and Experience:

✔ Applications welcomed from Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
✔ Degree in History or a related field.
✔ Experience teaching History at the secondary level, preferably in a UK school.
✔ Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History education.
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
✔ Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
