Job Title: Graduate Teaching Assistant
Location: Halesowen, UK
Position Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and dedicated Graduate Teaching Assistant to join our partnered secodary school in Halesowen. This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to gain valuable teaching experience while making a meaningful impact on students’ learning. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide academic support to students, assist in lesson planning and delivery, and work closely with teachers to enhance the learning experience in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the lead teacher in preparing and delivering lessons
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students in need of additional help
  • Support students with their coursework, homework, and exam preparation
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback as necessary
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as marking, record-keeping, and classroom organization
  • Act as a role model for students, promoting academic achievement and personal development

Requirements:

  • A recent undergraduate degree (any subject)
  • Passion for education and supporting student development
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Prior experience in teaching or tutoring is desirable but not essential
  • An Enhanced Child DBS, or willing to obtain one
