Behaviour Support Assistant
Job description
We are looking for a dedicated and patient Behaviour Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent. The successful candidate will work with students who may experience behavioral challenges and provide support to help them succeed in their education. You’ll play a key role in ensuring that students have the tools they need to engage in learning and thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students with behavioral difficulties, helping them to manage their behavior and engage in learning.
- Work closely with teaching staff to develop strategies for managing challenging behaviors.
- Provide one-on-one support to students in class and during break times.
- Help create and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on students' progress.
Requirements:
- Experience working with young people, particularly those with behavioral challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- A proactive and patient approach to supporting students.
- An understanding of effective behavior management strategies.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
