Learning Support Assistant
Job description
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Staffordshire. You will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to achieve their academic potential. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to provide tailored support to students both inside and outside the classroom.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in the classroom and during other school activities.
- Help create individual learning plans for students and track their progress.
- Work alongside teachers to adapt resources and materials to meet student needs.
- Offer pastoral support and encourage positive behavior.
- Assist with exam preparations and other school-related activities.
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with special educational needs (desirable but not essential).
- A positive, caring, and patient approach to working with students.
- Strong communication skills.
- A willingness to develop further through training and professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
