ARE YOU A QUALIFIED, PASSIONATE AND EXPERIENCED GEOGRAPHY TEACHER?

DO YOU HAVE THE CONFIDENCE TO DELIVER LESSONS ACROSS THE HUMANITIES CURRICULUM?

 

Teaching Personnel are working in close partnership with a school in B37 to appoint a Geography teacher on a full time basis. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver engaging and dynamic lessons to appeal to a range of learners across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Hours: Full Time

Pay: To Scale

Start Date: Jan/Feb 2025

 

Ideal Candidate:

- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

- Experience teaching Geography/Humanities in a UK secondary school

- Bachelors Degree in Geography

- Experience planning and marking

- Strong classroom presence and behaviour management skills

 

Roles/Responsibilities:

- Plan and deliver stimulating Geography lessons that encourage pupil progression

- Assess pupils progression through regular forms of various assessment 

- Provide timely written and verbal feedback conducive with pupils' learning

- Collaborate with fellow teachers within the department to promote best outcomes for pupils

- Promote pupils health, safety and well being at all times, ensuring safeguarding principles centre your practice

- Contribute to wider school community, including participation in the delivery of extra curricular activities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
