Job Title: General Cover Teacher

Location: North West England, Cheshire, Poynton

Job Type: Contract, expected to work full-time hours

Salary: £130 - £150 per day

Job Description:

Job Duties:

• Deliver lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular classroom teacher
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
• Follow the school's curriculum and lesson plans
• Provide feedback to regular teachers on student progress
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities as required

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Good knowledge of the national curriculum
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt to different teaching styles and environments

Experience:

• Prior experience in teaching or education sector
• Experience working with children and young people

Knowledge and Skills:

• Strong classroom management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational and time-management abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Additional teaching certifications or training
• Experience in delivering remote or online teaching

Working Conditions:

• Working in a school environment with varying classroom settings
• Potential for temporary placements in different schools
• Full-time hours with occasional requirement for additional responsibilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
