Job description

Job Title: GCSE LAC Tutor

Location:

East of England, Essex, Colchester

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

£20 - £30 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide one-on-one tutoring to students preparing for their GCSE exams
  • Develop tailored lesson plans to address individual learning needs
  • Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
  • Provide constructive feedback to students to enhance their learning experience
  • Communicate effectively with parents and school staff regarding student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience in tutoring or teaching GCSE level subjects
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and assessment criteria

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching or tutoring experience at the GCSE level

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Proficient in using educational technology to enhance learning

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education or related field
  • Experience working with Looked After Children (LAC)

Working Conditions:

Part-Time hours, flexible schedule. Must be able to travel to students' homes or educational institutions within the Colchester area.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
