Job description

We’re looking for a Functional Skills Tutor to support students who have been out of education for a while. You’ll help them develop key skills in English and Maths and build their confidence in their academic abilities.

What You'll Do:

  • Teach Functional Skills in English and Maths.

  • Create personalised lessons based on each student’s needs.

  • Support students who may feel nervous about learning and help them gain confidence.

  • Track student progress and adjust lessons as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience teaching Functional Skills (Level 1 & 2).

  • A patient, supportive approach to working with students who have gaps in their education.

  • A teaching qualification or relevant experience.

  • Passion for helping students succeed.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
