Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant

Location: North West England, Lancashire, Padiham

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Primary Industry: Education - EYFS 

Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour

Job Duties:

• Assist in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework 
• Plan and adapt activities in the contiuous provision to meet the needs and interests of children 
• Have an excellent understanding of play-based learning 
• Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
• Provide one-to-one support to children with additional learning needs
• Help create a safe and stimulating learning environment
• Assist in assessing and recording children's progress
• Communicate effectively with parents and carers
• Deliver interventions to groups of children
• Deliver Phonics sessions to promote and encourage Early Reading

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
• Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Demonstrated experience working with young children in an educational setting
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and its implementation
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Understanding of Phonics and Early Reading - preferably experience teaching a Phonics scheme
