Job description
Job Title: EYFS Teaching Assistant
Location: North West England, Lancashire, Padiham
Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours
Primary Industry: Education - EYFS
Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Assist in implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework
- Plan and adapt activities in the contiuous provision to meet the needs and interests of children
- Have an excellent understanding of play-based learning
- Support the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
- Provide one-to-one support to children with additional learning needs
- Help create a safe and stimulating learning environment
- Assist in assessing and recording children's progress
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers
- Deliver interventions to groups of children
- Deliver Phonics sessions to promote and encourage Early Reading
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Years Education
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience working with young children in an educational setting
- Understanding of the EYFS framework and its implementation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Understanding of Phonics and Early Reading - preferably experience teaching a Phonics scheme

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
