Part-Time English Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Poole, Dorset
Position: Part-Time, Permanent
Start Date: As soon as possible

A mainstream secondary school in Poole is seeking to appoint a passionate and dedicated Part-Time English Teacher to join their dynamic and supportive team. This exciting opportunity will involve teaching English to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students, inspiring them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the English curriculum, a commitment to delivering high-quality lessons, and a genuine enthusiasm for fostering a love of literature and language. Experience of teaching KS3 and KS4 is essential, and the ability to effectively differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of students will be highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
  • Contribute to the development of the English department and the wider school community
  • Support students’ personal and academic development
  • Participate in departmental meetings and school events

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A degree in English or a related subject
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire students
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to continuous professional development
