Teaching Personnel are working with a secondary school in Fareham who are nestled in a vibrant community. This school is renowned for its nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality English lessons that engage and challenge students across a range of abilities.
  • Mark and assess students’ work, providing constructive feedback to support their progress and development.
  • Collaborate with the English department during directed time to share ideas, resources, and best practices.
  • Meet with students and parents to discuss progress, set targets, and support individual learning needs.
  • Participate in parents' evenings and relevant school events, ensuring clear communication with families regarding student progress.
  • Ensure students are prepared for exams and coursework, fostering a positive learning environment in which every student can achieve their best.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be a qualified English teacher with experience teaching at the secondary level.
  • Have a passion for English and the ability to inspire and engage students of varying abilities.
  • Be organised, proactive, and committed to supporting both academic progress and personal development.
  • Be a strong team player, willing to collaborate with colleagues and share best practices.
  • Have excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Be flexible and adaptable, ready to meet the challenges of teaching within a dynamic and inclusive school setting.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
