Job Title: English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor

Job Duties:

The English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored tutoring sessions to Key Stage 3 students in English and Maths. This includes developing lesson plans, delivering engaging and interactive lessons, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to both students and parents/guardians. The Tutor will also collaborate with school staff to address individual student needs and contribute to the overall academic development of the students.

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with Key Stage 3 students
  • Demonstrated proficiency in both English and Maths

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of teaching/tutoring experience, preferably with Key Stage 3 students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of the Key Stage 3 curriculum for English and Maths
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
  • Organisational skills to plan and deliver effective lessons

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Education
  • Experience in providing outreach support to students in educational settings

Working Conditions:

The English and Maths KS3 Outreach Tutor will primarily work in school settings or the learners home, delivering tutoring sessions during school hours. The Tutor will collaborate with school staff and parents/guardians to support student learning and development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
