We are currently seeking a reliable and adaptable Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor to join our team. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about supporting education and ensuring that students continue to thrive, even when their regular teacher is absent.

Job Description:
The Day-to-Day Cover Supervisor will be responsible for supervising students and managing classroom behavior during a teacher's absence. The role involves ensuring students stay on task with set activities, maintaining discipline, and providing general support throughout the school day. The ideal candidate will be flexible, professional, and able to manage a variety of classroom situations effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students in the absence of their regular teacher, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-planned lessons, ensuring students understand instructions and remain on task.
  • Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive, focused atmosphere.
  • Support students with their individual learning needs and ensure they remain engaged.
  • Report any issues or concerns regarding student behavior or classroom incidents to the appropriate staff members.
  • Monitor student progress and offer support as needed.
  • Ensure the classroom is left in a tidy and organized state at the end of the lesson.
  • Follow school policies and procedures for safeguarding and health and safety.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff as necessary to support students’ academic progress and wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • A positive attitude with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Experience working with children or in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage student behavior effectively.
  • Flexible and adaptable to different classroom environments.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • A passion for supporting students and helping them succeed.
  • A willingness to follow the school's policies and procedures.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
