Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Salary: Competitive, depending on experience
Contract Type: Full-Time, Temporary

About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cover Supervisor to join an Ofsted Outstanding school in Stockton-on-Tees. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a key role in supporting our students' learning and ensuring continuity in lessons during teacher absence. You will contribute to the success of a school renowned for its high standards of teaching and student care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise students across a range of subjects during teacher absence, ensuring a calm and focused learning environment.
- Follow lesson plans and deliver instructions provided by absent teachers.
- Support students in completing tasks and provide encouragement to help them stay engaged with their learning.
- Promote positive behaviour and maintain a safe, respectful classroom.
- Liaise with teachers and staff to provide feedback on student progress and behaviour.
- Assist with classroom preparation, including setting up learning materials and equipment.
Essential Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing situations.
- Passion for working with young people and contributing to their development.
- Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential.
- Must be subject to an enhanced DBS check and references.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
