About the Role:
We are seeking an adaptable and enthusiastic General Cover Teacher to join schools in the Hartlepool area on a flexible basis. This is an exciting opportunity for qualified teachers who are looking to work in a variety of classroom settings, covering lessons across different subjects and age groups.
As a cover teacher, you will be responsible for delivering lessons according to pre-planned materials, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring a positive learning environment for students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality teaching across multiple subjects and age groups.
- Follow lesson plans and ensure students remain engaged throughout the lesson.
- Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment.
- Support students’ learning and progress, offering feedback where necessary.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure the smooth running of lessons.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in teaching or as a cover teacher is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Flexibility to cover various subjects and age groups.
- Ability to adapt quickly and work independently.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
