Are you passionate about education and keen to gain hands-on classroom experience in a secondary school setting? An exciting opportunity has arisen at our partner schools in Durham! We’re seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join us immediately.

Role Details

Position: Cover Supervisor
Pay: £85–£100 per day
Contract: Full-Time
Start Date: ASAP

Easily accessible by car via the A1(M), A167, or A690, the school also benefits from excellent public transport links for non-drivers across the North East.

What We're Looking For

  • Knowledge of the National Curriculum and the ability to support students effectively.
  • Confidence in managing classrooms and engaging students of varying abilities.
  • A degree qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • Willingness to undergo an Enhanced Child Only DBS check.
  • The ability to provide two professional references from recent employment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
  • Adapt lesson delivery to suit diverse learning needs.
  • Gain valuable experience to support future teacher training applications (such as a PGCE).
  • Participate in extracurricular activities to enhance the school community.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
