Job description

Teaching Personnel are seeking to appoint school Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Preston and surrounding areas. This is a September start and will be working on a flexible basis.

About the Role

This Cover Supervisor role will be to assist and support in Key Stage 3 and 4 classes, either as an assistant or delivering pre-set work in the absence of the usual Class Teacher. You do not need to hold a teaching qualification, but you must demonstrate that you have previously worked with children in a previous role, for example teaching, youth work, as a Sports Coach, as a Support Worker, summer camps, voluntary work, etc. and be qualified up to degree level.

Requirements

To be considered for the role of school Cover Supervisor, you will:

ü  Be degree qualified.

ü  Demonstrate high levels of English and Maths.

ü  Have a flexible approach to work and be able to think on your feet.

ü  Be confident and have a positive approach that engages students.

ü  Have excellent classroom management skills.

Salary is dependent on experience, training and/or qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
