Job description

Unqualified Teacher (Cover Supervisor)

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Cover Supervisor at one of our client secondary schools based in Old Trafford. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education and development of young minds in a supportive and dynamic environment.

This role will start after the summer holiday, in September and will run full-time until the end of the academic year, in July 2025.

We encourage graduates wanting to gain experience prior to starting a PGCE to apply. Depending on how a successful candidate gets on in school, they may be welcomed back to complete one of their placements within the school while doing teacher training.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons and resources to students across various subjects and year groups.
  • Maintain discipline and manage behaviour in accordance with school policies.
  • Provide support to students with their learning, answering questions and offering guidance when needed.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning and effective classroom management.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as taking attendance and reporting any issues or concerns to relevant staff members.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
