Cover Supervisor Wanted in Bolton

Are you a confident and enthusiastic individual with a knack for managing classroom behaviour? A secondary school in Bolton is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join their team starting in September 2024.

About the Role: As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a productive learning environment during teacher absences. This involves leading the classroom, managing student behaviour, and ensuring that lesson plans are followed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage students in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Ensure a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Follow and implement lesson plans provided by teachers.
  • Maintain strong behaviour management and discipline.
  • Support students with their learning and address any issues that arise.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other cover supervisors to ensure consistency and teamwork.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Confidence in leading a classroom and engaging with students.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in an educational setting is preferred but not essential.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to different teaching environments.
  • DBS on the Update Service or willing to apply.
