Job description

Cover Supervisor

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join the team as a Cover Supervisor at a client secondary school based in South Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about education and wants to make a positive impact on the lives of young people.

The successful applicant can expect to earn up to £100 per day, depending on experience. The school is within a 10-minute walk to the nearest public transport options, and also has a large car park onsite for staff members using a vehicle. Applicants should be able to start in April after the Easter holidays.

Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage classrooms during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Deliver pre-prepared lessons and provide support to students in their learning.
• Manage student behaviour and maintain discipline according to the school's policies.
• Support teachers in planning and preparing resources for lessons.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour.
• Assist with administrative tasks such as taking attendance and maintaining records.

Requirements:
• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• A passion for education and a desire to make a difference in students' lives.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
