About the role

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team and work in various secondary schools across Liverpool. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the continuity of education during teacher absences. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the education sector and develop their classroom management skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage classrooms in the absence of the regular teacher.
  • Deliver pre-set work to students and ensure they remain on task.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment and manage student behaviour in accordance with school policies.
  • Provide feedback to the regular teacher on student performance and behaviour.
  • Support the school’s ethos and values, promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.

Requirements

  • Experience working with young people, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Full right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A degree is desirable but not essential.
