We are currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join our team and work across a variety of secondary schools in Liverpool.

Role Overview:

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the continuity of learning during teacher absences. You will be responsible for managing a classroom, ensuring students remain on task, and delivering pre-set lesson plans. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain classroom experience, especially those considering a future career in teaching.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Classroom Management: Supervise classes across different subjects, ensuring a calm and focused learning environment.
  • Deliver Pre-Set Work: Facilitate the delivery of lesson plans left by the absent teacher.
  • Student Engagement: Encourage positive behaviour and engagement with the lesson materials.
  • Support Learning: Assist students with their work, answering questions and providing guidance where necessary.
  • Administrative Duties: Complete necessary administrative tasks such as marking attendance and reporting any issues to the school staff.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience: Previous experience working with young people, ideally within a school setting, is desirable but not essential.
  • Education: A degree in specific subject.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to manage classroom behaviour effectively, and a proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work across various schools and year groups as needed.
  • Enhanced DBS and on the update service (willingness to apply for one)
  • Clearance: A current DBS check on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
