Cover Supervisor

Position: Maths Cover Supervisor
Location: Burnley
Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Start Date: 23rd April
Contract: Temporary to Permanent
Pay: Dependent on skills and experience

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and confident Maths Cover Supervisor to join a Secondary Alternative Provision in Burnley. This role is a temporary to permanent contract, offering a great opportunity for the right candidate.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering Maths lessons up to GCSE level, with all planning and resources already completed. You must be confident in delivering the curriculum to students with varying abilities, ensuring a supportive and engaging learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver Maths lessons to students, following the prepared plans and resources.

  • Provide support to students in understanding the content and achieving their academic goals.

  • Maintain classroom discipline and a positive learning atmosphere.

  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback as required.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in Maths, ideally with a degree or relevant qualification.

  • Confidence in teaching and delivering lessons up to GCSE level.

  • Experience working with secondary-aged students is beneficial.

  • Ability to manage classroom behaviour and foster an inclusive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
