About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and reliable Cover Supervisors to support secondary schools in Alton, starting from September 2024. This role offers flexibility with both full-time and part-time positions available, depending on your availability.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. Your key responsibilities will include maintaining classroom management, ensuring a positive learning environment, and managing student behaviour in line with school policies. This role is essential in ensuring that students continue to receive quality education in the absence of their regular teachers.

This position is ideal for graduates, unqualified teachers, and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who are passionate about education and eager to gain valuable classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons to students across a range of subjects and year groups.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a productive learning environment.
  • Support students’ educational development during lessons.
  • Adhere to and enforce school policies and procedures.
  • Assist with other classroom and school duties as required.

Requirements:

  • UK residency (this advert is only open to UK residents).
  • A strong passion for education and working with young people.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Flexibility to teach across different subjects and year groups.
  • Previous experience in an educational setting is advantageous but not essential.
