Teaching Personnel work closely with a number of secondary schools in the Portsmouth area that require flexible and reliable Cover Supervisors to support in the absence of regular teachers. Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain engaged and on task.

• Deliver pre-set lesson plans and provide support to students as required.

• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies and procedures.

• Work across different subjects and year groups depending on the school’s needs.

• Liaise with teaching staff and senior leadership teams to ensure smooth lesson transitions.

• Maintain a positive and professional approach to supporting student's learning.

Requirements:

• Experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting.

• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a productive learning environment.

• Flexibility to work on an ad hoc basis, often at short notice.

• An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one before starting work).
