Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: SE9 
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, Temporary/Permanent options available
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a proactive and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in the SE9 postcode area. As a Cover Supervisor, you will oversee classroom lessons in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students remain engaged and on task with pre-set work.

Key Responsibilities:

✔ Supervising classes during teacher absences, maintaining a positive learning environment.
✔ Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
✔ Delivering pre-prepared lessons and ensuring students complete assigned tasks.
✔ Providing brief feedback to teachers on lesson progress and student behaviour.
✔ Supporting students with their learning where required.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

✅ Experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, youth work, TA experience).
✅ Confidence managing classroom behaviour.
✅ Strong communication and organisational skills.
✅ Flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups.
✅ A proactive and resilient attitude.

Requirements:

Right to work in the UK.
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
