Position: Cover Supervisor
Location: Schools across the SM6 postcode (Coulsdon, Purley, Chipstead, and surrounding areas)
Salary: £110 - £130 per day (dependent on experience)
Contract Type: Full-time/Part-time, Temporary/Long-term roles available
Start Date: Immediate or September starts

About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is seeking a proactive and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work across secondary schools in the SM6 area. As a Cover Supervisor, you will manage classrooms in the absence of teachers, ensuring students remain engaged in their learning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, following pre-set lesson plans.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Support students with their work, providing guidance where needed.

  • Foster a positive and productive learning environment.

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to cover lessons.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Confidence in managing classroom behaviour.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexibility to work across different subjects and year groups.

  • Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, TA work, youth mentoring) is desirable but not essential.
