Behavioural Teaching assistant

Teaching Personnel are working with a large English-medium secondary school in Caerphilly, who are looking for an empathetic Full-time Behavioural needs Teaching Assistant to collaborate with both their ALN coordinator and teaching staff.  Due to the challenging nature of the role, we are looking for an individual who may have had previous experience within a similar professional role or through personal work with children with Behavioural needs.  Their primary aim is to ensure that all students can fully access the curriculum according to their individual needs, while providing essential support for their social development and emotional well-being.

Requirements

  • Enhanced DBS check (child only) & to be Registered with the EWC.  Teaching Personnel can help throughout this process.
  • Experience with behavioural needs
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE A* - C
  • Minimum of 2 references
  • Positive approach and a passion for making an impact on children with behavioural needs.

This will involve supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and addressing behavioural difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health challenges, as well as providing 1-to-1 support for pupils who need assistance in these areas.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
