Do you want to make a difference in a nurturing Secondary school in Caerphilly? Are you passionate about helping children with Additional Learning Needs?  If so, we would absolutely love for you to get in touch.

Teaching Personnel are working with a large school in Caerphilly who are looking to expand on their ALN team.  We are in search of a compassionate, full-time ALN Teaching Assistant to collaborate closely with both their ALN coordinator and teaching staff.  This role is both rewarding and challenging, and we're looking for someone who brings either professional experience in a similar role or personal experience working with children with ALN. We value empathy and are eager to find a team member who can offer genuine support and make a positive impact on students' lives.

This will involve supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and addressing behavioural difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health challenges, as well as providing 1-to-1 support for pupils who need assistance in these areas.

Requirements:

  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities for children with ALN
  • Experience working with children with ALN, professionally or personally.
  • Provide one-to-one or small group support, adapting materials and teaching strategies to meet their children needs.
  • Foster a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment where all children feel supported and valued
  • Enhanced DBS check and to be registered with the EWC.  Teaching Personnel can help with this
