Behavioural Mentor

Teaching Personnel are looking for a compassionate and motivated Behavioural Mentor to join a large English-medium school in the Caerphilly area.  The ideal educator will be joining the ALN coordinator and teaching staff to help to support children with behavioural needs.  Previous experience is preferred, whether that be professional or personal, due to the challenging nature of the role.

This will involve supporting children with Autism, ADHD, and addressing behavioural difficulties, social, emotional, and mental health challenges, as well as providing 1-to-1 support for pupils who need assistance in these areas.

Job specifics:

  • Enhanced DBS check (child only) & to be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC). Teaching Personnel will help with this process
  • Experience working with children with ALN, professionally or personally desired but not essential
  • Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities for children with behavioural needs
  • Minimum of 5 GCSE A* - C
