Role Overview: As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and supportive environment that enables students to thrive. Your expertise will help ensure a safe and respectful learning atmosphere, where every student feels valued and empowered.
Responsibilities: • Implementing behaviour management strategies tailored to the needs of individual students. • Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and support staff to develop effective behaviour intervention plans. • Providing one-to-one and group support to students who need additional assistance. • Conducting assessments and monitoring student progress in relation to behavioural goals. • Organising and delivering workshops for students on topics such as emotional regulation and conflict resolution. • Acting as a positive role model, demonstrating appropriate behaviour and communication skills.
Requirements: • Relevant experience in behaviour support, counselling, or a related field is desirable. • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Empathy, patience, and the ability to engage with students from diverse backgrounds. • A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Familiarity with behaviour intervention strategies and techniques. • A commitment to the well-being and development of all students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
