Exciting Opportunity for a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant with Expertise in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and skilled Special Educational Needs (SEN) Support Assistant, specialising in Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), to join a well-regarded primary school in Woolton (L25). Starting in January 2025, this long-term position will span two terms, with the school seeking a dedicated support staff member to provide tailored assistance to a reception class pupil as part of the new school intake, offering both academic and social support.

The ideal candidate should have previous experience working with SEN pupils and possess a strong understanding of effective de-escalation techniques. The specific child follows an individual education plan, tailored to their SEMH needs, which reflects the school’s commitment to regular updates and progress reviews.

This role operates from 8:45 am to 3:15 pm and offers the opportunity to become part of a highly respected school community. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
