Join Our Team: 1-1 Teaching Assistant Needed at Alternative Provision in New Milton
Are you passionate about supporting young people with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEMH)? We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a dynamic alternative provision in New Milton. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students aged 11-16.
Role: 1-1 Teaching Assistant
Location: New Milton
Age Range: 11-16 (SEMH students)
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to a student with SEMH, ensuring their academic progress and emotional well-being.
- Work closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans.
- Promote positive behaviour and assist with managing any challenges in the classroom.
- Support the development of social and communication skills through practical activities and encouragement.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
What We're Looking For:
- A patient and empathetic individual with a genuine passion for working with young people.
- Experience or a strong understanding of SEMH and the challenges students may face.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide consistent support.
- A proactive approach to promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
