We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1-1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a dynamic alternative provision in New Milton. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students aged 11-16.

Role: 1-1 Teaching Assistant
Location: New Milton
Age Range: 11-16 (SEMH students)
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support to a student with SEMH, ensuring their academic progress and emotional well-being.
• Work closely with teachers to implement individualised learning plans.
• Promote positive behaviour and assist with managing any challenges in the classroom.
• Support the development of social and communication skills through practical activities and encouragement.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

What We're Looking For:

• A patient and empathetic individual with a genuine passion for working with young people.
• Experience or a strong understanding of SEMH and the challenges students may face.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and provide consistent support.
• A proactive approach to promoting positive behaviour and encouraging independence.
