Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker
Location: Preston, Lancashire
School: Mainstream Secondary School with SEMH Provision
Salary: Competitive, Based on Experience
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (15 weeks) to Permanent

The Role: As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a vital role in our school community, working closely with students who have behavioural needs. Your primary responsibility will be to support and guide these students, helping them to overcome challenges and succeed both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs.
- Develop and implement behaviour management strategies.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to create individualized support plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting support as needed.
- Assist in the development of social and emotional skills.
- Support students in developing positive behaviour and coping strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Previous experience working with young people with behavioural needs, ideally within a school setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques and SEMH strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, social work, or a related field are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
