SEN Teaching Assistant Opportunity
Are you passionate about supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential? A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream secondary school in Clitheroe, Lancashire.
Start Date: Tuesday, 22nd April 2025
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work closely with students, providing tailored support to help them overcome challenges and succeed in their learning journey. This is a rewarding role where you’ll make a real difference in the lives of young people.
Key Responsibilities
- Support students with SEN in accessing the curriculum, adapting resources as needed.
- Work one-to-one and in small groups to build confidence and foster independent learning.
- Collaborate with teachers and SENCo to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Promote an inclusive and supportive environment where all students feel valued.
- Monitor and report on student progress to help refine strategies for success.
About You
- Experience working with students with SEN, ideally in a secondary school setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and parents.
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
