We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behaviour Specialist to join our team, supporting primary schools in nurturing positive behavioural development and promoting an inclusive learning environment. Role Overview:
As a Behaviour Specialist, you will work directly with primary school children, teachers, and school leadership teams to develop and implement effective behavioural strategies. Your role will be pivotal in supporting children who may be experiencing behavioural challenges, promoting positive behaviour, and fostering an environment where all students can thrive. This role also entails being a Teaching Assistant within Primary School classrooms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ behavioural needs and design tailored strategies to support individual development.
- Provide one-on-one and group interventions for students with specific behavioural challenges.
- Work closely with teachers and school staff to create and maintain effective classroom management plans.
- Train and advise teachers, support staff, and parents on behaviour management strategies and best practices.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to school leadership and parents.
- Conduct observations and assessments to identify underlying causes of behavioural issues.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students to help improve emotional regulation and social skills.
- Work as a Teaching Assistant in Primary Schools, supporting children socially, emotionally and academically.
Ideal Candidate:
- A degree or qualification in Psychology, Education, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant experience working with children, particularly in primary school settings.
- Knowledge of behavioural management techniques, including experience with children who display challenging behaviour.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Empathetic, patient, and proactive in addressing individual needs.
- Ability to work independently and manage caseloads effectively.
- Familiarity with relevant safeguarding practices and policies.
- Experience with special educational needs (SEN) is desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
