Behaviour Mentor
Job description
Teaching Personnel are proud to partner with an outstanding all-boys SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school in Horsham, searching for dedicated and resilient Behaviour Mentors to join their team.
Are you ready to make a real difference in the lives of pupils who need it most? This role involves supporting learners with SEMH needs, many of whom have experienced childhood trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and may exhibit challenging behaviour. Your patience, empathy, and ability to build trusting relationships will be pivotal in helping these young people thrive academically and emotionally.
Why Join This School?
• Excellent Facilities: Work in a modern, well-equipped environment designed to support both pupils and staff.
• Friendly Team: Become part of a collaborative and welcoming team that values each member's contributions.
• Staff Development: Enjoy ongoing training and professional development, with clear progression opportunities for those who excel.
• Work-Life Balance: Benefit from a term-time schedule (39 weeks) and full pay during school holidays, including half terms, bank holidays, and summer breaks.
What We’re Offering:
• Salary: A competitive starting salary of £24,944 per annum, reflecting the importance of this rewarding role.
• Professional Growth: The chance to develop your skills in a school that prioritises staff well-being and career progression.
Requirements:
• Resilience & Empathy: The ability to connect with pupils who may have complex needs.
• Driving Licence: Due to the rural location, candidates must hold a valid driving licence and have access to their own vehicle.
• Full-Time Availability: To ensure consistency for the pupils, this role requires a full-time commitment.
This is a rare opportunity to join a school that truly makes a difference. If you have a positive attitude, a nurturing nature, and the determination to support vulnerable learners, we want to hear from you!
