Job description

SEN Teaching Assistant – KS1 (Horsham)
Term-Time Only | Supporting Children with ASC, Behavioural & SEMH Needs

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our friendly primary school in Horsham, working within KS1 to support children with Autism (ASC), behavioural challenges, and Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

About the Role:

  • Providing tailored support to children with ASC, behavioural, and SEMH needs
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
  • Encouraging positive learning experiences and emotional development
  • Term-time only role (school hours)

About You:

  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASC & SEMH (desirable)
  • Patient, compassionate, and able to manage challenging behaviours
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Right to work in the UK (essential)
  • Enhanced Child-Only DBS on the Update Service (essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
