BEHAVIOUR MENTOR 

Start Date - ASAP

Location - Small Heath, Birmingham, B10

Pay Rate - £90 - £120 per day dependent on experience

 

Teaching Personnel are looking for a strong Behavior mentor to work within a Secondary School in the Small Heath area of Birmingham.  The role will include working with a small group of children with additional needs. You would be supported by the SENDCO to make learning fun and engaging for all students.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking to make a difference to others around them within an educational setting. The right person would be compassionate, patient and be supportive. Day to Day Life of a behaviour mentor:

- Supporting students with their overall wellbeing within an educational setting.

- Being part of behaviour assessments and overviews.

- Developing individualised behaviour plans and reports.

- Providing direct support and guidence to those students under your care.

- Building positive relationships with students, parents/careers and external agencies.

- Collaboration an communication with other staff memebrrs and class room teachers.

- Handling behaviour crisis'.

 

Skills and Qualifications Needed:

- Strong communication.

- Empathy and patience. 

- Problem solving.

- Behaviour knowledge.

- Previous expereince as a Teaching Assistant or simular field. 

- Previous expereince with challenging behaviour in children or adults.

 

In summary, a behavior mentor’s role is to empower individuals by helping them manage their behavior in a positive way, ultimately leading to better social, emotional, and academic or personal success.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
