ALN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are in the process of recruiting Additional Learning Needs (ALN) Teaching Assistants, to work in a school in the Llandeilo area. The school provides high quality education for children aged between 11 and 19 years old, who have a variety of learning difficulties. Support is mainly for children with low functioning autism.

The role involves:

  • Assisting the children in small classes (up to 4 pupils)
  • Helping pupils diagnosed with learning difficulties throughout the day, offering encouragement and support
  • Maintaining a good standard of behaviour within the classroom environment

What you would need to apply:

  • Experience supporting children with learning difficulties
  • Experience supporting and de-escalating challenging behaviour
  • You will need to be confident, organised and an enthusiastic individual who’s passionate about getting the best out of pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
