Deputy Head of Science - Secondary School

Location: Battersea, Greater London, England

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Salary: £185 - £250 per day

Job Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Head of Science to plan, implement, and assess the Science curriculum
• Manage and oversee the Science department
• Provide mentorship and guidance to Science teachers
• Create and develop teaching resources and materials for Science
• Act as Acting Head of Science when required

Required Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field
• Prior experience in a leadership or management role within a secondary school setting

Knowledge and Skills:

• Thorough understanding of the UK secondary school Science curriculum
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective leadership and team motivation abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Postgraduate qualification in Education or a related field
• Experience in curriculum development and assessment practises

Working Conditions:
