Job description

Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant

Location:

North West England, Lancashire, Skelmersdale

Job Type:

Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary:

£12.90 - £13.50 Per hour

Job Duties:

  • Provide support to students on a one-to-one basis
  • Assist with educational activities as directed by the teacher
  • Help students with learning difficulties or disabilities
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Education:

Relevant teaching assistant qualification is preferred

Experience:

Previous experience working with children in an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of child development and learning processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team
  • Patience and empathy towards students

Preferred Qualifications:

Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools

Working Conditions:

This role may involve working in a classroom setting with children under the supervision of a teacher. The environment may be noisy and require standing or sitting for extended periods.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
