1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN)

We are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant with experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN). If you are passionate about supporting students and have the skills to provide tailored one-to-one assistance, we’d love to hear from you.

About the Role:

• Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (SEN)
• Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary/Permanent

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Providing one-to-one support for a student with special educational needs.
• Assisting with the delivery of individualised learning plans to help the student achieve their goals.
• Supporting the student with both academic tasks and social development.
• Collaborating with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies and interventions tailored to the student’s needs.
• Managing the student’s behaviour in a positive, constructive way, creating a supportive learning environment.
• Tracking progress and providing regular feedback to the teacher, parents, and other staff members.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous experience working with children with special educational needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties).
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting the child.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with both teachers and parents.
• A commitment to helping children reach their full potential.
• Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 in SEN or Teaching Assistant).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
