Position: 1:1 Teaching Assistant
Location: Isle of Portland, Dorset
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract: Long-term, with the potential to extend into the next academic year
Pay: Weekly pay (via Teaching Personnel)

Are you a passionate and dedicated individual looking for a rewarding role supporting a SEN pupil in a Primary School setting? We have an exciting opportunity for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive team on the Isle of Portland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom.
• Assist with the development and implementation of individual learning plans.
• Support the pupil’s emotional and social development.
• Work closely with the class teacher to ensure effective learning and engagement.
• Promote an inclusive and positive learning environment.
• Help with general classroom duties and ensure the pupil’s well-being.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (desirable but not essential).
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with children.
• Excellent communication skills and a team player attitude.
• A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• A DBS check or the willingness to undertake one (if required).
