Position: Youth Worker (In School Support)
Location: Primary School, Bath
Salary: £90 - £100 per day
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday
Start Date: Immediate start available
Contract Type: Temporary (through recruitment agency)

Are you passionate about working with children and making a positive impact on their learning and development? We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Bath, supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a 1:1 basis.

No prior classroom experience is required, but we are looking for individuals who have a background in working with children and are eager to make a difference in the lives of students with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Help students engage with and access the curriculum
  • Assist with emotional, social, and academic development
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other staff members to provide tailored support

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children (classroom experience not essential)
  • Passion for supporting children with SEN
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A clear DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
  • A flexible and positive approach to work

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
