Teaching Assistant

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities, assisting students in both group and one-on-one settings.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment for all students.
- Provide individual support for students with additional needs, helping them with their academic and personal development.
- Assist with preparing lesson materials and maintaining an organised and stimulating classroom.
- Act as a role model for students, promoting positive behaviour, teamwork, and perseverance.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other staff to support students’ progress and well-being.

- Youth Work: Your ability to connect with young people and understand their needs is invaluable in supporting students both academically and emotionally.
- Sports Coaching: Your experience fostering teamwork, discipline, and confidence will contribute to the development of well-rounded, active learners.
- Child Counselling: Your skills in listening and providing emotional support will be vital in helping students navigate challenges and thrive in school.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Experience working with children in any capacity is highly desirable.
- A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of young people.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or youth work are a plus but not essential.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
