Unqualified Teaching Assistant (Primary School - BS7)
Location: Primary School, BS7, Bristol
Duration: September 2025 – July 2026 (we have other roles available until then!)
Hours: 8:30am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri)
Positions Available: Multiple

About the Role:

Are you passionate about supporting children's learning and development? We are currently seeking enthusiastic, dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team at a primary school in BS7, starting in September 2025. This full-time role will continue until the end of the academic year in July 2026. We are hiring multiple candidates, so whether you are experienced or new to the field, we’d love to hear from you!

The successful candidates will work closely with children, especially those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them to engage in learning activities and achieve their potential. If you're looking for a rewarding and dynamic role, and enjoy making a difference in young learners' lives, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the delivery of lessons and activities, focusing on students with SEN.

  • Support the development of individual learning plans.

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for children who need extra help.

  • Work closely with teachers to ensure an inclusive and effective learning environment.

  • Help children with emotional and behavioral needs to thrive in the classroom setting.

  • Encourage positive behavior and assist in classroom management.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, particularly those with SEN (desirable but not essential).

  • A patient, compassionate, and proactive attitude.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Ability to build positive relationships with children and staff.

  • A desire to support children in their learning and personal growth.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification) are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
