Contract Type: Full-time
Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 per hour

Our dedicated team is passionate about fostering a love of learning, and we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant school community, who can promote our Christian Values.

The Role:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Year 3 Teaching Assistant to support our teachers in delivering high-quality education to our Year 3 children. You will need to have a solid understanding of the National Curriculum, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for helping children thrive in their academic and personal development.

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for students, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Assist with the delivery of lessons and activities, ensuring they are engaging and accessible to all learners.
  • Help with classroom management, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support students with additional needs, differentiating tasks as necessary.
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of teaching materials and resources.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective learning experience.
 

About You:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, ideally in Key Stage 2 (Year 3).
  • A good understanding of the Year 3 curriculum, including English, Mathematics, and Science.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when required.
  • A proactive and flexible approach to supporting children’s learning.
  • A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3) is desirable, but not essential.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
